The Hebron Street Department provides the service of picking up limbs caused by storm damage and the trimming of trees. We start our pick-up on the first Monday of each month, weather permitting. We start at one end of town, North or South and go down each street that have limbs to pick-up. Depending on how much there is, it may take several days to get to your part of town.

The Town of Hebron is NOT a tree removal service, if you cut down a tree or have a commercial tree removal company cut down a tree for you, you are responsible to have the debris removed.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR YOU AS A HOMEOWNER

· You must separate limbs from any other debris. We do not pick-up vines, root-balls grass clippings, willow branches, plants, corn stalks any construction lumber, they clog up the chipper and delays us to get to your neighbors.,

· Limbs cannot be more than four (4) inches in diameter and no longer than six (6) feet long. Small branches less than two (2) feet long and one (1) inch in diameter is considered yard waste and can be disposed of in your normal trash pick-up

· Lay your branches with the cut end in the same direction along the curb

· Do not place your limbs in the street. Town Ordinance Sec. 70-35 (d) states “No lawn/garden waste shall be deposited upon or disposed upon or disposed of by any resident on the town’s property, streets, or driveways within the town”

· We pick-up the first Monday of the month, unless it is a holiday, so plan to put them out no more than a week before, have your limbs at the curb by 8:00am, once we go through your area we will not go back

· Do not place any limbs near your mailbox or any parked cars, we are not responsible for any damage

· We do not pick-up yard waste (Plants, corn stalks, vines, brush or willow limbs) only limbs. Large limbs and yard waste can be brought to the PORTER COUNTY RECYCLING & WASTE REDUCTION Boone Grove Compost Site. Located at 546 South 400 West. They also accept grass clippings. Check their website at www.portercountyrecycling.org for more information.
