-Certified Water and Wastewater Operator-
Full Time position - WT3, DSM and class II preferred but not required. Must be available for on call duty and rotating weekend duty schedule. Duties include installation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment. Also including water meter installation & repair, meter reading, water sampling, lab testing, and preventive maintenance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement plan as well as paid vacation and sick leave.Applications can be picked up at the Hebron Town Hall/Water Department Office, 107 N. Main St., 7:30am – 4pm Monday through Friday or online www.hebronindiana.org. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.

HELP WANTED
Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week (hours are flexible)
Lab tech will report to the Operator in charge
Lab tech will perform all laboratory analysis for the wastewater plant including all test required by the NPDES in a safe manner
Skill requirements: high school diploma or equivalent.

Purchase a banner in honor of your loved one that have served in any of our World Wars and conflicts to present day. These will be displayed on the street light poles on Hebron's Main Street in May just before Memorial Day and running thru July each year.
The cost of the banner is $150.00 a percentage of this cost will go towards building the Northwest Indiana Middle East Memorial in Hebron on The Veterans Memorial Trail.

Swimming Pool fill credit is allowed once per year. You must read your meter before and after filling your pool and notify the water department with your readings. You still pay for water used, but do not pay the wastewater charge on pool fill usage. Without correct meter readings, no credit will be issued. Established Pools – 24 hour window, New Pools – 72 hour window. Upgraded Neptune meters are equipped with a solar cell, which supplies power for the LCD panel. A high-powered flashlight is required to activate the panel (cell phone flashlights are not recommended). To read your meter, open the black cap exposing the solar cell and continue holding the flashlight over for 5 seconds. Once your reading appears begin from the left and write down your numbers. The meter reading is shown in gallons. Call 219-996-4641 to report your readings during regular hours 7:30am – 4:00pm or after hours leave voicemail messages.
