7:00 PM – Wednesday – December 21, 2016 – Community Center
Call to Order: HRC Vice President Mike Reick called the Redevelopment
Commission meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. at which time all attendees recited the
Pledge of Allegiance.
HRC members: Mike Reick (MR), Merle Foresman (MF), Pete Breuckman
(PB), Kevin Joseph (KJ)
Members absent: Shawn Ensign (SE)
Liaisons/Consultants present: Mike Mantai (MM), Dr. Nathan Kleefisch (NK),
DeSCo (JM)
Liaisons/Consultants absent: None
Attending Guests: Keith Cunningham (KC)
Administrative Approvals:
1. Approval of Agenda: The agenda was amended to include Project
Homestead and to combine it with Project Brookwood and move them to the
front of the agenda. Discussion on Chamber of Commerce and the Town Hall
were added. Once edited, (PB) moved to accept the agenda, (MF)
seconded; Motion passed (4-0)
Ø October 24 and November 28, 2016 minutes: The minutes for both
meetings were presented and reviewed.
Ø (KJ) moved to accept and approve; (MF) seconded; Motion passed (4-0).
2. Treasury Expenditures: All December claims were approved at the
November meeting. No action was required at this meeting.
Strategic Plan Business:
1) Strategic Plan Update. The HRC reviewed strategic plan projects. The
Town Corner, Project Homestead, Project Brookwood and Hawk Bucks
initiatives were discussed at this meeting updating the HRC on progress on
Old Business:
1) Zoning and TIF Map Updates (JM). Finalized copies of the 2016 Zoning
and TIF maps were presented to the HRC.
2) Gateway Lights (JM). After investigating all alternatives, the HRC decided
to accept the proposal from Maglish in the amount of $4,480 to repair the
gateway lighting. It was moved by (KJ) to engage the company for the
repairs; (PB) seconded. Motion passed (4-0).
New Business:
1) Precision Turbo (JM). DeSCo reviewed the recent purchase of Precision
Turbo by Napier/Turbonetics. A meeting with Harry Hruska would be
scheduled in the first quarter of 2017 to investigate opportunities.
2) Chamber of Commerce (MF). The working relationship between the
HRC and the Hebron Chamber of Commerce was discussed. Strategies
for a closer and more productive relationship were reviewed.
7:00 PM – Wednesday – December 21, 2016 – Community Center
3) Town Hall (MM). A review of Town Hall updates and space
utilization was held.
Public Comments:
Dr. Nathan Kleefisch spoke on behalf of the schools thanking everyone for their
assistance with the annexation as well as the recent financial contribution for
school technology.
Adjournment: (MF) motioned to adjourn; (KJ) seconded; passed (4-0). Meeting
adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
